The Windermere Foundation helped pay the mortgage for a family whose 12 yr old daughter was at Children's Hospital awaiting an operation to place a shunt in her brain. Jessica has been in severe pain (yet the nurses say she never complains!) for most of her life and has had several surgeries to literally keep her skull from pushing into the back of her brain. Mom, Dad and a younger sibling have been here at her bedside for the past few weeks. The father was going to have to return to Anchorage to work, as their bills were piling up. Knowing how close the father is to Jessica, a social worker called the Windermere Foundation to see if we could help pay a portion of the mortgage so the father could stay while Jessica underwent this major surgery. Given the circumstances, we paid the entire mortgage.

So glad the Windermere Foundation was able to provide a little relief for this family. Please keep Jessisca and her family in your thoughts.
